Spring is the busiest season in Ninnaji Temple because many people want to see the famous, late-blooming Omuro Sakura cherry blossoms. During this time you can also go to the Reihokan Museum and see what kinds of important cultural items belong to the collection of Ninnaji Temple.

In summer you can see many priests in the temple because many Buddhist ceremonies take place in summer, especially in August. The solemnity of the Buddhist services is something you only get to see in summer.

Ninnaji Temple is not only beautiful in spring. The autumn leaves envelope the historic temple buildings into vivid shades of red and yellow. This is one of the best seasons to take photos at Ninnaji.

Winter at the temple may not be as well-known as spring and autumn, but the serene Japanese garden of the temple after it has snowed is something well worth seeing. The snowy scenery you can see from the Goten Palace is so beautiful it is going to make you forget everything else.
